Called-to-Serve
Thank you for your interest in supporting the ministry of Called-to-Serve.
***Please see the new articles at the bottom of this page for some important information.***
We value both your prayers and your gifts.
They are the lifeblood of our mission to the people of Tanzania.
Without them we could do nothing. With them we believe we can advance the Kingdom of God in a real and tangible way.
At present, we have just two missionaries in Tanzania, Elton and Barbara Cooke.
If you’ve checked out our website you know something of the incredible work they are doing in and among the people in the areas of Arusha and Kyela.
They have a heart for God and for the people of Africa and in the very short time they have been there they have had a tremendous impact for God.
If you would like to support Elton and Barbara financially, you can do so by sending your gifts to the address below.
All gifts are tax deductible and every penny you give goes directly to support them and their work in the field.
Please make your checks payable to “Called-to-Serve” and send to:
Called-to-Serve
2022 Monroe Bay Circle
Colonial Beach, Virginia 22443
We ask you to prayerfully consider giving monthly or at least quarterly to Elton and Barbara. Your regular giving will allow them to spend more time in the field proclaiming the message of God’s love and forgiveness and less time in the states raising funds.
If you have any questions about the finances of Called to Serve or would like to transfer funds electronically, don’t hesitate to contact me for additional information. Thank you and may God richly bless you for your generous prayers and gifts.
Sincerely,
Vicki Cooke CTS Treasurer

Giving-An Uncomfortable Subject
Giving is an uncomfortable subject to bring up to discuss. But giving needs to be discussed.
BEHIND EVERY DOLLAR IS A STORY
It is a story of a dear person who sends small gifts - the widow’s mite - a genuine sacrifice - because the dollar gift feeds a child a meal, buys a book, provides a piece of paper and pencil, gives a soccer ball to a school - minor things in the lives of the giver, but major things in the lives of the receivers.
It is a story of a $15.00 a month pledge and gift that will literally change the lifestyle of a family.
It is a story of gratitude from a couple in the
BEHIND EVERY GIFT IS A GIVER
Every dime sent; every piece of furniture Called to Serve has given or made available for people to sit on, to sleep in, to eat around; every dollar for electricity hook-up, school fees, lunches, courses taken; every ten dollars used to advertise, to notify interested people around the world of needs, to make whatever is distributed here and in the USA professional looking and attractive, so people will be drawn to projects to change people’s lives; it all has come from you, the gracious donors of Called to Serve.
We never lose sight of the fact that it is your hard-earned money that allows us to pay for the rent of the Called to Serve house. There is a plaque on the front gate of the house, two plaques on the sides of the vehicle as we drive all over
Telephones need to topped off monthly. Conferences are held (Bible conferences. Leadership conferences. HIV/AIDS conferences, for men, women, children).
We praise God and thank the donor for our website. Check it and it should bless as well as inform. The website is www.called-to-serve.net. It is a powerful and generous gift to make all aware of Called to Serve ministries.
BEHIND EVERY GIVER IS A PRAYER
Always we have been impressed by missionary requests for prayer. Being on this side of the ocean with daily challenges, we are most aware we are being prayed for, but it has become a real experience for us as we pray for you. With every encouraging word, from you, a prayer for you is said. We feel your prayers. We are hoping you feel our prayers for you. We will pray together for each other. God answers specific prayers for specific needs, yours and ours.

On Form 1040, file and itemize. Called to Serve will supply you with the necessary receipts of what you have given.
Called to Serve provides the following for all who give:
To verify the donation, bank statements also give evidence to the IRS.
