We are So happy that you feel "Called-to-Serve" in
We are always asked by people, "what do I bring?"
So we have established these lists for you.
The first listing, is a packing list, some of this will change with the weather, but we have tried to provide you with a list of what to bring.
The second list is a gift / ministry list. People frequently ask, "What can I bring to leave as gifts for the Tanzanians, what will help aid in my ministry while I am there?" We have provided a list of small items that will go a long way with them, and help you in your trip
Finally, it is certainly not necessary, but people have asked us, "what can we bring you?" You would be surprised how much you miss the "silly things" in life, even a can of string beans or a box of Jello, or macaroni and cheese can be a real treat. So we have put together a "wish list" of things. Again this is not required at all!!! We so much just appreciate your willingness to serve.
Packing List:
When you fly, you are usually allowed to check through two pieces of luggage and carry on one small hand piece – plus your handbag or your lap-top. The check-through pieces must not weigh more than 50 pounds each. If you exceed the weight limit – you will have to remove items from your case or pay an additional fee, which can be high. Try to stay under the weight limit. Most teams use one case for each person’s personal items and one case – per team member – for ministry materials , gift items, etc. Watch the weight!
This list is meant just to help you with some questions that frequently come up – please use your own common sense when you pack.
